Michael Long - CEO
Hi there, I'm Mike Long. Although I'm currently working as a mail clerk at a small rural post office, handling the retail window and sorting PO box mail in Cambridge, I hold a business degree that I've always wanted to utilize in a meaningful way. My dream? To make finance easy for everyone to understand. That's why, in 2024, my friend Székely Szabolcs and I started FinanceRants. Szabi, who loves computer science, was all about using AI to make finance simpler and smarter. Together, we teamed up because we both believed finance shouldn't be complicated. We saw a lot of people struggling to understand their finances, getting overwhelmed by all the jargon and numbers. So, we thought, why not use our skills to help?
We decided to create FinanceRants as a place where anyone, no matter their background, can come to get clear, straightforward advice and insights into managing their money. Whether it’s figuring out how to save, invest, or just understand your bills, we’ve got your back. We're here to take the mystery out of finance, using technology to make things easier and more accessible. Since starting FinanceRants, we've been amazed by the response. It turns out, there are a lot of people out there just like us, looking for a simpler way to handle their finances. We're constantly working on new tools and content, always trying to find better ways to explain complex ideas in a way that makes sense to everyone.
